About

The daughter of an Interior Designer and an Architect (http://www.toddarchitects.net/TA-Interiors.htm), Katie Todd was always surrounded by the love of art, design and architecture.

Katie Todd attended college at the University of Alabama, an accredited CIDA university, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. The summer before graduating, Katie interned for the world renowned Atlanta Interior Designer Stan Topol. During her time at Stan Topol and Associates Katie assisted in the execution of beautiful high-end residential designs.

Following her internship with Mr. Topol, Katie continued her interior design career in commercial, government, hospitality and senior living design. Her diverse experiences with different levels and genres of design have molded her into the designer she is today.

In early 2010, Katie moved from Atlanta, GA to the Windy City looking to expand her career as an Interior Designer. While in Chicago Katie has worked on many residential renovation projects from demolition to completion, furniture space planning, and color consultations. She recently just wrapped up assisting Meg Caswell, the winner of Design Star, on the new HGTV series “Great Rooms”, airing in September 2011. www.hgtv.com/hgtvs-great-rooms/show/index.html

Katie Todd Design’s ultimate goal is to create interior and exterior spaces that encompass her client’s needs, vision, comfort and the functionality of their space. Katie strives to expose her client to the appropriate furnishings, accessories and space plans by creating furniture plans, lighting plans, elevations, renderings and full construction documents that bring an idea or dream into a reality.
